The next (and last) yard waste pick up for the winter is Monday March 12. Regular weekly yard waste pickup then resumes on April 2.
Annual Curbside Large Item Pickup takes place Saturday June 9. You should have what you want removed on the curb by 7 am that morning. FYI: Items should limited in size to no that what two men can handle. Items that WILL NOT be picked up include car batteries, tires, yard waste, appliances, paints, chemicals construction materials over 4 feet in length. Items APPROVED for removal include furniture, mattresses, household trash, TVs et al.
Annual Meeting of Greystone Estates South Homeowners Association took place Monday evening February 5 at the Central Church of the Nazarene. New Lenexa Ward 3 City Councilmen Dan Roh and Corey Hunt each offered their assessment of the state of the city and a updated residents on future plans. They also fielded a number of questions from those in attendance.
GESHA President’s Opinion: The annual meeting was poorly attended. I could give you the numbers but will keep them amongst ourselves since the website is somewhat public. But I do offer this: Our neighborhood would benefit from greater participation in board activities and governance from a wider range of neighbors. There has been an influx of new and younger families who might have or want new ideas considered that would enhance the quality of life in Greystone Estates South.
